  • About the opportunity

    SWCA Environmental Consultants has an exciting opportunity for a project administrator who can support a variety of logistical needs. This is a temporary, hourly position dependent on workload needs, with the potential for career growth. 

    What you will accomplish

    • This position requires an individual with the ability to produce quality work, a sense of urgency, extreme organization and the ability to manage shifting priorities. The ability to retain information is extremely important. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast paced environment, take rapid fire instruction, be detail-oriented and have very strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level of accuracy. A successful candidate will be a team player and have the ability to work with individuals at various levels in the company. 
    • Under the supervision of a project manager, the successful applicant will provide administrative and logistical support for the following project tasks:
      • Staff scheduling, load leveling of tasks, meeting arrangements
      • Tracking project and progress
      • Tracking project changes
      • Data tracking
      • Support for project billing and other invoicing needs
    • Performing general clerical support functions
    • Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with the SWCA project manager, and other project and company team members.
    • Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for project tasks

    Experience and qualifications for success

    • Minimum of a High School diploma (or GED equivalent) required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Proficient knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
    • Understanding of basic environmental laws and processes (NEPA, ESA, CWA, NHPA, etc), preferred.
    • Understanding of ArcMap and GIS, preferred.
    • High level of accuracy, excellent communication and organizational skill.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and work as part of a team.
    • Able to represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
