    SWCA Environmental Consultants is expanding their Flagstaff, Arizona Cultural Resource Team and looking for dynamic individuals who are following their passion in delivering the highest-quality project work. This is a part-time as needed Cultural Resources (Archaeological) technician position. 

    What you will accomplish

    Complete archaeological surveying, field testing, data recovery, and associated field recording, including completion of field forms, digital photography and in-field mapping.  Assist with archaeological office and lab work and data collection in the field. 

    Experience and qualifications for success

    • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology, Archaeology or closely related field required
    • Previous Cultural Resource Management experience preferred, especially experience conducting archaeological survey in Northern Arizona
    • Completion of an accredited Archaeology field school or comparable experience required
    • Knowledge of ArcPad, TerraSync, ArcGIS Collector, Survey123/Kobo/ODK, and Android tablets is a plus
    • Ability to travel to a location, walk and conduct fieldwork for long hours, sometimes in inclement weather, rugged terrain, often  at high altitudes, and ability to carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds is required
