SWCA has an opportunity for an Archaeological Monitor for a field assignment located in Alpine, California which is expected to last from January through March or April 2019.
In this position, you would carry out construction monitoring and daily reporting, ensuring the proper implementation of project mitigation measures related to cultural resources. You will assist with GPS data collection using Trimble units or tablets, coordinate with construction workers in the field, and communicate with the SWCA Project Team through daily reporting of field activities. You should be available to work full-time for this project assignment, which is expected to include up to 10-hour days as many as six (6) days a week for 10 to 12 weeks. Opportunities for additional work on other projects is likely based on need and availability.
