We are actively seeking to fill a Disaster and Resilience Program Manager position for our growing central-east region. This is a career growth opportunity to join SWCA’s expanding disaster and resilience practice, with increasing levels of responsibility. The role is a full-time, salaried position. The qualified Program Manager would support a wide variety of projects throughout the US.  


SWCA Environmental Consultants is an employee-owned company of environmental professionals who specialize in natural and cultural resource management, environmental planning, and regulatory compliance.

What you will accomplish

  • Oversee FEMA, CDBG-DR and CDBG-MIT funded environmental projects throughout the US.
  • Work collaboratively with various teams to meet the needs of the assigned projects.
  • Ensure solid program procedures and processes resulting in technical excellence on assigned projects.
  • Supervise the growth of our emerging lead-based paint and asbestos regulatory compliance service line
  • Schedule and assign tasks and staff to make sure project resources are allocated appropriately.
  • Prepare technical documents and high-quality deliverables for clients.
  • Manage projects including budgets and technical staff

Experience and qualifications for success

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Five (5) plus years of experience with CDBG, or comparable federal grant programs.
  • Experience working with agencies at the local, state, or federal levels.
  • Experience with CDBG tiered environmental reviews.
  • Experience with environmental property survey and sampling.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Excellent organizational, oral, written, and analytical skills are required.
  • Applicant must be able to work in a team environment, with strong multi- tasking skills and able to work on more than one project at a time, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure with schedule constraints.
