Under supervision of the Cultural Resources Team Lead, an Architectural Historian performs a variety of office and field tasks. Work will generally occur in Hawai`i, but will also involve projects in California and the West. Candidates with experience in Hawai`i are strongly encouraged to apply.   The position is temporary and hourly and workload will vary from 26-40 hours a week, depending on workload. Some projects include overtime hours or prevailing wage rates. When project travel is required, per diem, hotel room accommodations, and field vehicles are provided. Project travel time is paid. Pay rate will be based on individual qualifications and experience.

SWCA Environmental Consultants is expanding our San Antonio team and looking for dynamic individuals who are following their passion in delivering the highest-quality project work.   We are looking for a Cultural Resources Principal Investigator and Team Lead with experience in historic and/or prehistoric archaeology.  The person selected will assist to plan and execute projects located primarily in San Antonio, but also throughout Central, South and West Texas. The successful applicant will be overseeing and mentoring a mid-sized team of field archaeologists.  She or he will have a good understanding of Texas Antiquities Code, National Historic Preservation Act and National Environmental Policy Act compliance and be eligible for holding state Antiquities Code permits.  She or he will also work with the company's directors to grow the cultural resources team through excellent work and business development, including preparing technical and cost proposals.    This is a regular, full-time position.  The position is based in the Alamo City - San Antonio, Texas - and the applicant should be located in, or be willing to relocate to, that location.   The successful candidate will become part of a dynamic central Texas cultural and environmental resources planning team that enjoys excellent relationships with a wide range of local, regional, and state agencies, as well as private and nonprofit clients.
