We are seeking an Entry Level-Wetland Scientist to assist with execution of projects in Northeast and potentially other regions. This position will be involved in a variety of biological studies, including conducting biological evaluations and assessments, aquatic resources delineations, and vegetation baseline studies. The applicant should be able to work independently for 40 or more hours per week, on a sometimes unpredictable and fluid schedule. The successful candidate will be expected to accurately complete data collection, carry out field-based surveys and monitoring activities, coordinate with project and office managers, and complete other tasks as assigned. This is a regular, full-time position,and the applicant should be located in, Amherst, MA, Westborough, MA or Portland, ME.

We are seeking a skilled Ecological Restoration Engineer who has experience in restoration design projects, including any of the following: stream/rivers, freshwater or brackish water wetland, coastal marsh, barrier island, shoreline, hydrologic, sediment diversion, fish passage, and/or coastal ridge restoration. The candidate must have a strong skill set in hydrologic modeling and analysis, landform design in AutoCAD Civil 3D (or similar), and a working knowledge of GIS principles.
SWCA Environmental Consultants (SWCA) is seeking a Deputy National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Project Manager to support the preparation of NEPA assessments and compliance documents, research, and public outreach related to projects affecting the offshore or near-shore environment. SWCA offers a unique work environment and specializes in natural resources and cultural resources consulting. Work location is flexible, but it is preferred that the successful candidate be affiliated with one of SWCA’s eastern office locations (Amherst, MA; Westborough, MA; Pittsburgh, PA; or Raleigh, NC), or in the D.C. Metro or New York City areas. This position will focus on NEPA process and project management, and public outreach. While occasional field visits and other travel may be required, this position is expected to be primarily office-based.
This is a full-time, salaried position, with compensation commensurate with experience.
